2black tea bagsor 2 tablespoons of loose-leaf black tea
1cupof milkwhole, skim, or any plant-based milk
2-3tablespoonsof honeyadjust to taste
1teaspoonof vanilla extractoptional
Ice cubesoptional, for a cold version
Instructions
Boil The Water
Start by boiling 2 cups of water in a medium-sized pot. Take the water off the heat source as soon as it reaches a rolling boil.
Brew The Tea
Add the black tea bags (or loose-leaf tea in a tea infuser) to the hot water. Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. For a stronger flavor, steep longer.
Heat The Milk
While the tea is steeping, heat 1 cup of milk in a separate pot over medium heat. Be careful not to let it boil; you just want it hot enough to mix well with the tea.
Combine Tea And Milk
Remove the tea bags (or tea infuser) from the pot. Slowly pour the hot milk into the tea, stirring gently to combine.
Add Honey And Flavor
Stir in 2-3 tablespoons of honey, adjusting the amount based on your desired sweetness level. For an extra touch of flavor, you can add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Serve Hot Or Cold
Hot Version: Pour the Honey milk Tea into mugs and enjoy immediately.
Cold Version: Let the tea cool to room temperature, then pour it over ice cubes in a glass.
