Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1 teaspoon of dried mullein leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of dried peppermint leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon of dried licorice root
  • 1 teaspoon of dried eucalyptus leaves
  • 1 teaspoon of dried ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon of honey optional
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice

Instructions
 

Step 1: Boil The Water

  • First, bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. This will be the base for our lung detox tea.

Step 2: Add The Herbs

  • Lower the heat to a simmer after the water reaches a boiling point. Add the dried mullein leaves, peppermint leaves, thyme, licorice root, eucalyptus leaves, and ginger root to the saucepan.

Step 3: Simmer The Tea

  • Allow the herbs to simmer in the water for about 10 minutes. This helps extract the beneficial properties from the herbs, making your lung cleansing tea more effective.

Step 4: Strain The Tea

  • Take the saucepan off of the burner after ten minutes. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a teapot or directly into your cup, ensuring no herbs remain in the liquid.

Step 5: Add Lemon And Honey

  • For added flavor and extra health benefits, stir in a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey.
  • Both ingredients are known for their soothing properties, especially for the throat and lungs.
