First, bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. This will be the base for our lung detox tea.
Step 2: Add The Herbs
Lower the heat to a simmer after the water reaches a boiling point. Add the dried mullein leaves, peppermint leaves, thyme, licorice root, eucalyptus leaves, and ginger root to the saucepan.
Step 3: Simmer The Tea
Allow the herbs to simmer in the water for about 10 minutes. This helps extract the beneficial properties from the herbs, making your lung cleansing tea more effective.
Step 4: Strain The Tea
Take the saucepan off of the burner after ten minutes. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea into a teapot or directly into your cup, ensuring no herbs remain in the liquid.
Step 5: Add Lemon And Honey
For added flavor and extra health benefits, stir in a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey.
