Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of water
  • 4 black tea bags preferably a high-quality brand for a richer taste
  • 1 cup of fresh blackberries plus more for garnish
  • ½ cup of sugar adjust based on your preference for sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Prepare The Tea: In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. After turning off the heat, add the tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes to achieve a strong flavor. After taking out the tea bags, let the tea cool to room temperature.
  • Make The Blackberry Syrup: While the tea is cooling, combine 1 cup of blackberries and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Crush the blackberries as they heat up to release their juices. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly. Strain the blackberry syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp and seeds, and let it cool.
  • Mix The Tea And Syrup: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, blackberry syrup, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  • Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blackberry tea over the ice. Garnish with fresh blackberries and a mint leaf, if desired.
