  • Ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon or a cinnamon stick
  • Fresh lemon juice from 1 lemon
  • Honey 1 tablespoon, optional, for sweetness
  • Water 2 cups

Instructions
 

  • Boil The Water: Bring the 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  • Add Ginger And Cinnamon: Add the sliced ginger and ground cinnamon (or cinnamon stick) once the water is boiling. If you’re using a cinnamon stick, remember to remove it before serving unless you prefer its continued infusion in your cup.
  • Simmer: Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. This allows the water to fully absorb the flavors of the ginger and cinnamon.
  • Add Lemon And Honey: After simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the honey and lemon juice, if using, and stir. The honey not only adds sweetness but also complements the spicy and tangy flavors of the tea.
  • Strain And Serve: Strain the tea into your favorite cup. Ginger, cinnamon, and lemon aroma will be wonderfully inviting as you pour.
